The Fragment Design x Converse Weapon “White/Sport Royal/Black” is a collaboration by Hiroshi Fujiwara’s popular design imprint and Converse on the old school basketball sneaker. The Converse Weapon was debuted by Magic Johnson and Larry Bird in a series of now-classic commercials in the 1980s as part of their legendary on-court rivalry. Here, Fragment Design supplies the venerable shoe with a modern edge. The upper features a white leather build with contrasting black leather overlays on the toe and on the side. Sport Royal accenting lands on the leather collar. Contrasting royal Converse detailing can be seen on the sides. Fragment’s signature lightning logo is found on the medial side of the heel. The shoe’s aged rubber midsole ties back to the model’s vintage basketball roots. Release date: May 11, 2023
