The Nike LeBron 16 “Hot Lava” is a colorway of LeBron James’s sixteenth signature performance basketball shoe inspired by the iconic Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe. The recognizable color scheme and graphic details of Andre Agassi’s classic model are instantly apparent on this special edition of the LeBron 16. The upper features a clean white perforated knit base with contrasting fiery Hot Lava overlays, including the Swoosh and smooth black leather trim along the lateral panel and mid-panel. Further design aspects include a reinforced white leather trim around the heel with the heel plate donning the same motif as the Air Tech Challenge II. Embroidered white Nike Air branding is located on the heel with throwback Nike detailing on the tongue. Completing the look are visible Air pods on the outsole that receive and return energy through the foot with every step. The Nike LeBron 16 “Hot Lava” was released on May 24th, 2019.
