The Nike Kobe 1 Protro “Black/Purple” is a re-release of an original colorway of Kobe Bryant’s first signature Nike basketball shoe. The updated Kobe 1 Protro features a modernized construction to match today’s on-court performance standards. The original Kobe 1 from 2005 received a few subtle upgrades for the “Protro” release, including full-length Zoom Air cushioning and a slimmed down upper. This original colorway features black leather lateral sides with purple suede on the medial sides, along with contrasting white and black Swooshes on the respective sides. A hint of yellow is added to the “Uptempo” branding on the heel and the mini Swoosh on the bottom lace loop. The Nike Kobe 1 Protro “Black/Purple” released in October 2018.
