The Awake NY x Asics Gel-Lyte 3 “Black/Pink” is one of three colorways of the retro running and lifestyle shoe by Angelo Baque’s streetwear brand and Asics in 2022. The Awake NY and Asics pairing has proven to be a formidable one over the years, as the two brands have released several covetable colorways of the Gel-Lyte 3 and other classic Asics models. The “Black/Pink” updates the shoe design with a black textile base. Contrasting pink suede overlays appear on the upper. Awake NY’s version of the Gel-Lyte 3 retains the shoe’s original split tongue design. Branding details include an “Awake NY” stamp on the lateral side of the heel, and Asics’ Tiger Stripes appear on the mid-panel. Release date: September 2, 2022
