The Nike Air Max 90 “Doernbecher 2023” is a special colorway of the retro running shoe from Nike’s popular collaboration with Portland, Oregon’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Designed by patient Emerson Harrell, the “Doernbecher 2023” Air Max 90 features design elements specific to Emerson’s story, specifically his dreams of being an investor. The shoe is complete with a white textile base with contrasting Valor Blue leather overlays. Unique money-inspired graphics are found on the white leather Swoosh on the sides and on the crimson red inner lining. “Bear Down” is debossed on the lateral side of the mudguard as a nod to Emerson’s favorite college team, the Arizona Wildcats.
