The JJJJound x New Balance 992 is a sought-after collaboration between the Montreal based design studio and New Balance on the popular lifestyle silhouette. One of the most unlikely designs to be catapulted into sneaker stardom in 2020, the New Balance 992 was the subject of many desirable colorways and collaborations throughout the year, including JJJJound’s minimalist take seen here. Tan colored mesh detailing forms the base of the upper and is visible on the toe, forefoot, and collar. Buttery tonal suede overlays are located on the eyelets, mid-panel, and heel-to-toe mudguard above the split white and beige midsole. A washed black reflective “N” emblem can be found on either side and JJJJound branding is located on the heel. Additional features include chocolate brown suede overlays on the forefoot, collar, and heel and a mini “USA” logo on the grey leather patch on the collar. New Balance’s ABZORB cushioning technology is embedded within the midsole and provides the wearer with a soft ride for all-day use. Release date: August 7, 2020.
