The Teddy Santis x New Balance 990 V3 “Made in the USA” is one of several silhouettes included in the acclaimed footwear and fashion designer’s first-ever “Made in the USA” collection with New Balance. The highly anticipated partnership between Santis, who is the founder and lead designer of Aime Leon Dore, was announced in 2021 after Aime Leon Dore and New Balance’s popular 550 collaborations helped bring attention to both brands beginning in 2020. Santis is now the head of New Balance’s “Made in the USA” footwear program. Here, on the 990 V3, the shoe features hairy grey suede overlays atop an olive green mesh base. Tan leather and suede overlays are found on the forefoot and heel, respectively. A reflective “N” logo is located on both sides of the shoe. A small red “NB” logo is found on the heel and “New Balance” and “USA” branding appear on the grey waffle tongue. The white and cream-colored rubber midsole gives the shoe a vintage look.
