The New Balance 990 V2 Made in USA “Black” is a neutral colorway of the lifestyle shoe included in the collaboration between Aimé Leon Dore’s founder and lead designer, Teddy Santis, and New Balance from 2022. In 2021, Santis was named the Creative Director of New Balance’s Made in the USA line after his successful and wildly popular collaborations with the footwear company over the years. He released his debut solo collection with New Balance in April 2022. This black-based colorway of the 990 V2 succeeds the “Grey” and “White” versions of the shoe that debuted that April. The shoe features black pig suede overlays atop an olive green mesh base. Grey suede overlays are found on the forefoot and heel. A black “N” logo appears on both sides of the shoe. The cream-colored rubber midsole gives the shoe a throwback-inspired appearance. Release date: July 7, 2022
