The New Balance 57/40 “Garnet” is a fall-ready look for the retro-modern lifestyle shoe by the heritage footwear brand. The 57/40 silhouette joined New Balance’s footwear collection in 2020 and is a tribute to the New Balance 574. Design details include Garnet-colored mesh on the toe and collar and tonal suede overlays. An oversized, reflective “N” logo is found on either side. Black “NB” insignia is printed on the maroon nylon tongue tag on the tonal mesh tongue. A reflective heel tab contrasts the look of the Garnet suede on the back of the shoe. A chunky, retro-inspired cream foam midsole gives the shoe a decidedly vintage, performance running shoe-style look.
